In the first big upset of 2015, Tony “Lightning” Luis (19-2, 7 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over previously undefeated IBF #15 rated Karl “Dynamite” Dargan (17-1, 9 KOs) on Friday night at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. In a bout that could have been fought in a phone booth, 7:1 underdog Luis pressed the action and outworked Dargan all night. Luis should have been credited with a knockdown in round three after putting Dargan down with a left hand. He dropped Dargan officially in round ten to punctuate a 97-92, 99-90, 97-92 win.
